Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If a GAL is ordered by said judge, can they be dismissed after GAL is hired and paid ?Her 15 page Report was submitted to the attorneys and the GAL report was not entered into the case during the Trial? The judge said he didn't hear any subtantial evidence to bother with the GAL's recommendation, the GAL's strong recommendation that the children be placed with the father. Can another judge take a look at this case?

Normally, no. What you are apparently looking for is a "reconsideration" or "rehearing" but don't identify what kind of case this is or what the issues were. Depending on the case status, you may only have 30 days from the judge's decision to file a motion for this purpose, or to appeal if it was a final order, and I would NOT recommend doing either without an attorney's help and your time to do so may have expired. At this point the normal procedure is NOT to have another judge rehear a case. Get an attorney involved immediately.
