Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

gaurdian over money

My son and I were in a car accident, and he was awarded money. I was appointed gaurdian over the money until he reaches 18, does that mean if he wants to get some money out for a curtian purchase, can I do that for him, or does the request have to go to the Judge, or is that why I was appointed the gaurdian over the money and I have full authority to let him get money out of the bank account if I approve of the use?

Re: gaurdian over money

You must get approval from the judge to withdraw any money.
