Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

The grandmother has sole custody of my child. There is a support order in place in illinois and I provide medical insurance. There is nothing in the order stating I am responsible for any additional costs outside of biweekly child support and supplying medical coverage. I recieved a bill and when inquiring at the office, I was informed that the grandmother (who authorized services) had informed the office that bills should go to me. I never signed treatment authorization or financial responsibility forms. Can the office make me financially responsible because they were simply told to? Can they continue to list me as being responsible even after presenting the office with the support order? Who should they be billing? What legal avenues are there for me to pursue?

You are missing some facts. You state that you received a bill but you do not state from whom the bill came and the type of bill. As a result, it is hard to answer your question. I can be reached at 312-372-5600.
