Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I'm inquiring on an 2006 divorce case, I feel like my lawyer is not fighting to his best ability in my favor, and not sure what to do about it.. Everytime we go to court it gets continued and it's been going on four years with no results. It's like the two lawyers are working together and not for me. I have been told it's a neglect and delay tactic and not sure what I should do. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Find another attorney who will work for you who can take over your case, but be prepared for a fight over accrued and unpaid legal fees. You can threaten a complaint before the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Committee of the Illinois Supreme Court (ARDC) but that will most likely result in a motion to withdraw before you have someone to replace your current attorney.
