ex wife and daughter wanting to collect back child sopport out of lawsuite monies won from medical law suite father died 5 years ago mther and daughter have lived in texas since before divore was final mther never pursued father for back support while father was alive

You need to file a lawsuit in whatever state the father died. At this point the statute of limitations may have run on claims against the estate (need to know where you are suing). Back child support is one of the easiest things to sue for in Illinois, but the fact that the father has died adds an interesting wrinkle.
