Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

relinquish rights back to mother

My husband and I adopted our granddaughter 15 yrs. She is now 19 yrs & going to college. She is now living with her mother since she lives in the same town as the college. We want to know if it is legally accepted to sign & notorize our legal rights back to her mother, so she can put her on her health insurance and claim her on her taxes.

taxes.
