Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Unmarried Father & His Fight For HIs Child

My husand has a daughter who is 6. He was never married to the mother. He is listed on the birth certificate. The mother gave up guardianship to her parents without my husband knowing. Can he have the guardianship revoked? Also they tried to change her name, how can they do that without his signature?

He should have received notice if they attempted to change her name in court. He has many rights. He has a right to visitation, etc. and, yes, can have the guardianship decision vacated with good grounds. He must get into court. There's no other way to do it.
