Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

visitation

I just want to make sure I got this right. I have to let him take the child even though I have no way of getting a hold of him and not knowing where he is taking my child, which is across state lines?? I live in Illinois and he lives across the border in Indiana.

Re: visitation

If the decree states he cannot take the child across state lines, then if you can establish he does that, you can bring the issue before the court. The issue has to arise to an emergency and you have to go before the court on an emergency basis. Not telling you where he is living, especially since he has not kidnapped the child, or harmed him.
