Fire in the storage building

Over the weekend, there was a fire at the storage building. The company has informed us of the fire and told us our item has not been damge but there maybe smoke & shoot damage. We do dnot have insurance to this item. who is liable if the item is damaged?

It all depends on what your contract with the storage facility says about insurance and liability. It is very likely that it says you are responsible. If so, since you agreed to this term by signing the contract, you are probably responsible.
