Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

What can I do?

A friend brought his so called race car to my garage to work on temporarily. That was in August. It is still there and he hasn't done anything with it and owes me money for parts and labor that I put into it. He is not making any attempt to pay back anything. This is a type of race car that does not have a title. What can I do to get my money out of this car? Can I sell it? He has been warned about paying or it being sold. What are my rights?

Re: What can I do?

All cars have titles.

You should give him notice to remove the vehicle and sue him for rent. Then have the car removed. There may be criminal penalties for having this car in your garage.
