Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Judgments

I have a judgment against me for $2400. When I contacted the law firm to arrange full payment they quoted me $3500. Is this possible and how much am I really obligated to pay?

Re: Judgments

You are obligated to pay the amount of the judgment and all the interests that have accrued since the date of the entry of the judgment.

Keep in mind that the judgment includes the costs of filing the lawsuit and may also possibly include attorney fees.

You should ask for a breakdown of the amount they say you owe to find out why the difference.

I hope this helps,

Taradji
