Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois

When a POAHC was signed in the past and the person now has been diagnosed with dementia and a bank states that it is unknown whether the person was suffering with dementia at the time the POAHC was signed and therefore declines to honor the POAHC, what recourse do you have?

I am not sure why you would present a power of attorney for health care to a bank. Generally, you would need a power of attorney for property.
