Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Illinois

I am the Administrator of a Website that provides hosting and advertising services to people who own game servers. Lots of people steal our website design, images, and codes to use on their own site.
If they steal an image, or a script, or the design of our website to use on their website am I allowed to file a copyright claim against them? I have authorization from the owner of the site i work with, and he created the content himself.
If I do file a claim, I first try to contact the owner of the offending site, if no response i contact the site's webhost
