Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Illinois

Statute of limitations for software cracking?

Assuming the person completely stopped years ago, what is the statute of limitations before she/he is no longer liable for cracking software (removing trial expiration periods, time limits, etc) under the DMCA or any other related usable laws, and having released those cracks/serial numbers to the public?

Say for, roughly 1000 programs?
