Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
there is a dead animal in the ceiling of my apartment and now there are maggots falling in to my bathtub but my landlord isnt doing anything serious about it she just wants to seal up the window their falling from, is there any legal action i can take

Inform your landlord in writing of the problem. Send the letter certified mail if possible.
Your unit may be uninhabitable now and this may give you grounds to break your lease and move somewhere else.
