Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

I live in Illinois and own a condo and I recently was given a dog temporarily that was never picked back up. My association is telling me that I need to get rid of the dog otherwise I will be charged a fine of 75.00. The by laws do say cats and dogs are not allowed. However inside the condo its mine and I never have him in the halls and when we go out he is in a bag. The dog is helping me emotionally a lot I lost my grandma n brother this year. I have heard of getting him certified for MDD. If I do can they kick him out? Even if I do not do they have the right to charge me such a crazy fine of 75/day?

There is nothing unusual about the rule or the fine. About the only way you might be able to appeal is if the animal can be classified as a service animal and before you spend too much time trying to make that happen I'd ask the association how they'd react if that was the case.
