Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
If we moved out of apartment 30 days earlier than lease states. Arranging for someone to take over the apartment but landlord turns them away. We also made every effort to fill the empty apartment while landlord has made none, but has rented a different apartment that still has tenants in it for another month are we responsible for that months rent still

You had only 1 month left on the lease? And found somebody to take it for just one month? and the Landlord said no? In Chicago you might have a case; outside Chicago it depends on what the lease says.
