my landlord asked 2 mos ago if we were intending on renewing our lease we said yes as long as your not raiseing the rent she did not say she was raiseing the rent. now 2 weeks until our lease is up and she says shes raiseing the rent we now have no time to look for a place if we wanted to , can she do that so close to renewal

It depends on what your lease says and what you mean by "renewal." The landlord has until whatever date the lease says she has to tell you about rent increases or other changes. When you say "renewal" do you mean when the lease ends? or the date by which you have to decide if you want to renew?
