Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

Allergic reaction to medication prescribed by Dr.

I was diagnosed with PFO and had a stroke because of it. Cardiologist prescribed Plavix and aspirin as blood thinner until PFO closure was done. Severe reaction causing hospitalization for three days.(Sent home from ER second day of reaction, third was admitted.) Records indicate Dr. had not read literature regarding Plavix/Aspirin combo. Would this qualify as Medical Malpractice?

Whether the conduct of the doctor was a deviation from the standard of care, and thus qualifies as malpractice, should be reviewed in connection with your complete medical chart. Please feel free to contact my office or another attorney who may be able to assist you in this regard.
