Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

I had went to see a urologist about some pain i was having and was told that although no xrays showed any kidney stones one was trapped and needing to be surgically removed. When i went for the actual surgery, the ended up removing several bladder tumors instead, 7 days later the emergancy room informed me that I was testing positive for pregnancy. The doctors kept me on my antibotics and my pain meds, since then I have had a miscarriage and no longer carrying the baby. Now am suffering from a major depression, anxiety, and guilt. is there any malpractice, who is responsible? Should there been some sort of blood test done to determine the pregnancy prior to the operation? I am so upset about this.

Based on the information provded, there does seem to be an indication that there was at a minimum some sloppiness and that you should consult with an attorney to investigate your situation in more detail. You should be sure to obtain all of the records from the urologist, hospital, radiologist and your ob/gyn.
