Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

my wife passed away from breast cancer

my wife developed breast cancer 3 years ago. she was treated and was clean for two years. she went to every follow-up. She was told to come in if ther was any change in her physiology

in feb.this year she told her primery she was having headaches, he told her not to be concerned. she had more frequantly in the next 2 months and was worried she got an early followup appointment in march and tol;d him of her concern. he told her to go off a med for awhile.and that should do it. 2 months later she had a bad one with dizziness and went to the hospital. where she was diagnosed with cancer of the brain. she died a month and a half later. my question is, shouldn' t an oncologist have ordered a scan right away?I feel an early diagnosis with treatment would hav given her a much better chance of survival

Re: my wife passed away from breast cancer

Please accept my condolences for your loss.

Without knowing more details it is hard to give a definitive opinion. However, given your wife's history and complaints, there is an indication that there may have been some substandard care. You should contact an experienced medical malpractice attorney. Let me know if I can help.
