Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

just bought a truck at a small dealer about 2 months ago and now the engine failed. my question is are they allowed to sell a truck in that condition? im still making the truck payments and i cant afford to make the truck payments and buy a new engine at the same time. what can i do?

Lemon laws do not apply to used vehicles.

Unfortunately you may be stuck with you purchase. Try and work something out with the dealership.

If you don't make your monthly payments you may still be held in default and have a judgement entered against you for principle,

atty's fees and costs.

Check your sales contract and other paperwork to see if the vehicle was sold 'as is', or whether there is a warranty. If it was sold as is, then your options are extremely limited.
