Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

my car was damaged while in the possession of the vallet company. I did not see the damage on that side of my car, because the vallet port was congested and the driver, pulled the car in so that the mark was not openly visible. There is a video tape, and the company is not accepting responsibility because i reported it a hour after I left. What can I do? ANd how can I get a copy of the tape?

Sounds like the valet's insurance company would deny the claim too. You can sue and put a claim into your own insurance company. The tape may be on a short "loop" however meaning it records over itself ever so often and may show nothing, but if it does this may be discoverable in litigation.

You may want to smile a "small claims" action(under $10k) and then subpoena the tape. However as Attorney Messutta points out, you may have little time to do so.
