Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Condo Association - Removing Board Member from Office

I am on the board of my 6 unit condo association. The President of of Board has been demonstrating threatening and abusive behavior and actions to all of the owners. We cannot handle the necessary course of business because of him. In accordance with our condo declaration, we can vote any board member out at any time, and this is what we will be doing with him via a special meeting if he does not resign. Our fear is that he will react in a negative way. We are certain that he will contact his attorney and want to fight us legally. Our concern is that he will contact our designated condo association attorney that will end up charging the association for his personal concern. Should we give our condo association attorney a head's up on what we are about to do? Or wait and see what happens? And who does that condo association attorney then represent, him or the five of us?

Re: Condo Association - Removing Board Member from Office

The attorney represents the Association, not the President who has been removed.
