Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

How can I evict an adult son?

My adult son is nearly 23. He is cruel to me and constantly harasses me verbally. He has said many times that he wishes I would die and that he'd kill me himself but I'm not worth going to jail for. He's been in and out of jail for the past few years and has current probation for 5 or so arrests. The police say I can't throw him out without an eviction notice. All the eviction notices I see on line are for tenants with leases that don't make rent payments. My son pays nothing and I ask nothing. I just want him gone. Please help me! I need to know what to do.

Re: How can I evict an adult son?

You need to do more than evict him. If he is threatening you and verbally intimidating you, you need to go to court and get an order of protection.
