Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

i hired attorney to represent me for forklsure case.signed with the firm and paid a retainer 3/24. The April invoice went out 4/14 and was due 4/24. I paid 4/25.on 04/27/2011 send them a email that we decided to make trail period payment.they sey that The law requires a process for withdrawal of representation that involves a certified mailing notifying you that we are withdrawing that has been sent out and a minimum of 21 days for the return of the certified mail receipt either showing you received notice or the post office attempted delivery and you did not accept notice. The judge will not hear the matter until we have the postal return, which means July at the soonest. In the meantime, the firm remains responsible for representing you in court. If the plaintiffs make any motions or responses, we must respond accordingly. We must continue to represent you until the judge releases us. At that point the judge will give you 21 days to retain new attorneys as the matter is still pending.we did not reseived any notice. they keep cgarging us.Thanks!
