Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

mandatory interest

My father recently died and was in the process of selling his land to two of his grandchildren by contract for deed. I and a brother are the recipients of the sale. He gave them a 16 year interest free payment plan. The Grandchilderns father is the executor of the estate. Question -- Can I force the buyers to pay interest? Can I force the removal of their father as executor due to conflict of interest?

Re: mandatory interest

If the will or the contract for deed indicates no intrest, you will not prevail. If you can prove a conflict of intrest or misconduct, you might have the executor removed. Please call for an appointment.
