Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I am in the process of buying a short sell SFH. The seller's agent did not get another short sell approval notice from the bank after a deal he had fell through and my agent is stating that he does not want to order another short sell approval letter for my deal to hike up the purchase price. My agent is stating that he can not get a hold of the seller's agent. My lawyer is stating that she can not do anything because there was no short sell approval, but she is still my lawyer...if and when it goes through. My question is what recourse can I take, everything seems to be going wrong, I don't want to lose the earnest money I paid and the appraisal fee I paid or the house. Any direction would be helpful?

Ask your attorney. If your attorney can't or won't, or is unable, to answer, you should consider finding another attorney. It is unethical for us to second-guess another attorney's work, especially but not limited to the fact that this forum provides minimal and often incomplete information.
