Death of wife/ownership

My car has a loan in wife's name. I want to pay off loan and have car in my name. How?

You can try working with the finance company to put the loan into your name. This sometimes works. However, the finance company is not required to refinance the loan. You may be required to pay it off to purchase the vehicle.

On the other hand, if the loan is close to being paid off, simply continue to pay the monthly installments and transfer the title when the loan is paid off.
