deceased parents taxex

who pays the property tax on deceased parents home.where does the money come from if parent had no money.there is a will house is left to her adult childern.house has not been sold

Real estate taxes are a lien on the property. They will have to be paid when the house is sold. If the heir does not pay and keeps the house, the government will eventually sell the house at auction to pay the taxes.

Property taxes are a lien against the house. If you don't pay them the county will sell the house.
