Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Mother has two bank accounts, each account also has one of her two children on it. The mother has a will dividing her assets equally upon her death, my question is since these bank accounts have someone else on the title does that person gain total interest upon the death and the will wouldn't apply.

thanks in advance

If a bank account has a joint tenant (i.e., mother and son), and no other designation, then upon the death of the one, the other becomes the sole owner of the account. The Will doesn't apply to that account.
