If I passed does my wife have immediate access to my trust funds without having to pay taxes on those funds ?

Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on how the "trust" is set up. Your question is too vague to be responded to in a meaningful way. The only way someone could properly advise you would be to review the trust agreement creating your right or interest in the funds you're talking about.
