I want to transfer the deed of my home out of a living trust. The recorder of deeds says I need a Trustee's Deed. Where can I find the form for Illinois ?

Some counties provide deed forms/samples, but I strongly recommend discussing the pros and cons of such a transfer with an experienced estate planning attorney and having him or her draft the deed instead of using a form. Form documents frequently fail to include proper language and key provisions.

If you would like to discuss the title of your home, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

You may be able to locate the form online, at an office supply store or at the county. You should, however, consider using an attorney to assure that you are not doing more harm than good and to get the document completed correctly if it is appropriate to go forward. The cost to have an attorney advise you should be no more than a couple hundred dollars and may save you more substantial fees later. This can likely be handled by telephone and E-mail.
