Trustee refuses to give information
My uncle is trustee of his deceased brothers estate. Deceased uncle left us CDS and I called the bank to find out about getting my CDS the bank then called trustee uncle. He flipped out and accused me of forgery(deceased uncle wrote a note stating we had CDS coming it was not notarized ) and called me names. Said the CDS have been liquadated in the trust. I asked if we were remembered in the Trust and he snarled its all being worked out. Two weeks have gone by and havent heard anything. We believe everything was liquadated in the trust. Deceased uncle has been gone one month now. Probate has not been filed.
What are my options? If i am in the trust shouldnt he tell me? If I am in the trust how long does it take to finalize everything and how will I get my money?
If i call a lawyer Uncle will flip out even more. My family is shocked at his name calling and even his daughter hung up on me when I called to explain

You didn't mention anything about a will. Even when there is a trust involved, there is generally a will drafted along with it. The will determines what is supposed to be used to fund the trust at the time of death, and if your uncle left you the CDs outright, he may have stated so in his will.
You might want to check with the bank again to inquire whether your name or social security number was listed on any CDs.
Otherwise, everything will depend on how the will and the trust are worded as to the distributions and the beneficiaries.

Hello. Here are your options. You can open an
estate for your deceased uncle. I strongly
recommend that you do so. Once appointed the ad-
ministrator of your uncle's estate, you will then
be authorized to search for the missing trust
funds. I will be more than happy to answer any
