Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Will

We have found an addendum to a will. It is signed but not witnessed. Do we need to turn this over to lawyer or is this just suggestions of things to be done. It sounds like it.

In Illinois, an addendum to a Will is called a Codicil. It must be witnesses by at least 2 persons in addition to being signed by the testator.

It appears that the document you have is not valid.
