Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

No TTD after heart stent

A friend hurt his back at work. Co. Dr. said he needs surgery on his back. Had a stress test done and had to have a stent put in his heart because of a blocked artery. Now he has to wait 3 months before he can get the back surgery. My question is...Does W/C still have to pay ttd for the 3 months before he can have surgery.
