Dear Sir / Madam,

All out efforts are being made to educate employers to "kill" this draconian practice of insisting on a performance bond from any new employee. The objective is simple - If the concerned employee dislikes the organization culture or the prevailing working atmosphere, even if he / she is compelled to serve the bond tenure, the organization will only be at the losing end, there being no value addition from the dissatisfied employee, and payment of salary being a colossal waste for the Company / Institution.

More important is the fact that a bond is against the principal of natural justice as per the Constitution unless it is balanced on both sides, with the Company specifically stating in the bond that it will pay the entire salary for the pending period of the bond, in case it terminates the services of the employee anytime during the bond period, for no fault of the employee.
