Legal Question in Banking Law in India

Credit card default: Time limit on civil suit

If I default on my credit card debt (such as membership fee or a real expense), can the credit card company sue me say 10 year down the line and claim interest at 3% p.m. (which will become huge in 10 years). Or in other words, is there any time or financial limit for such claims.
