Legal Question in Business Law in India

Mrtpc act

I live in Calcutta. I made a complaint against a public limited company regarding its fixed deposit scheme. Now the commission has asked me to appear before it at Delhi. I am unable to go to Delhi. What are the consequences if I do not appear before the commission.

Re: Mrtpc act

It depends on what complaint you have lodged against the company and ultimately you are the person responsible to stand by your complaint and the onus of burden to prove your complaint is fair will be upon you or if the company has received any derogatory inmpression from the society then you will be held responsible for such loss unless you prove the complaint you gave.If not try to compromise with the company and withdraw your complaint. The other side coin is that you can seek adjournment and appear the next time whenever you free time before the commission.

You may inform them about your inconvinience in attending the proceedings. If you do not inform the commission about your inconvinience, they may consider dismissing the complaint.

You may inform the Commission about your incapacity to appear personally; and may instead send your testimony by way of affidavit.
