marriage.

sir, last year in june my father has finalised my brother's marriage, but due to some family problem we decided to cancel the marriage in november 2006. resultant of this decision, girl's father warns us continue to go law court against dowry act. but the reality is not any dowry case- neither money / any assets has been taken nor it has been given. sir, pls help us, what can happen if he (girl's father) goes to the law court. plz help us, we whole family are very upset, the going days are black days for us. what we should to do they are very rude people.

Wel you can not stop him from filing the complaint.Let him file a case so that the contents and his version be clarified.take precaution.Consult a lawyer of your vicinity.Wait and watch.

Take anticipatory bail as soon as possible, before they file any complaint.

Wait and watch their action. Do make recording of the conversation you have with them.

you must file petition for restoration of conjugal rights under section 9 of Hindu marriage Act, stop saying that u want to cansel marriage, till you have valid grounds for it. give the articles/ istri dhan to the wife/ sister in law what ever u have received.

If they are bent on harassing you than that they will do it any how.

Acc to me just sent a legal notice through an advocate placing all the important and material facts especially the threats of filing criminal complaints.

Just wait and watch anf if called by police for anycase filed apply for anticipatory bail.

if you have not taken anything not much will happen but for once you may face some problem as u can not stop them from filing the case.

you can apply for anticipatory bails when they file a case

just do one thing that make a complaint to the commissioner of police with the help of an advocate telling him all the details and mentioning therein statements for your benefit.
