After some time such person, buys new washing machine and sale old washing machine to dealer of washing machine in exchange. On the day of exchange, owner of washing machine checks that all valuable assets laying inside the washing machine but due to some reason (such as arrival of guest at the time of removal of assets) forgot to remove the valuable assets and was under impression that the same valuable assets are removed from old machine and kept at some other considered safe place and than release the old washing machine to washing machine dealer. say after period of 3 month at the time of festival such person searches the valuable assets and in that day it come to notice of such person that such valuable assets was laying inside the washing machine and same being was sold to the washing machine dealer.

At the same time of coming to notice such person rush to the washing machine dealer and inform him about incidence and dealer inform to customer that he aware of such old machine that was sold to washing machine dealer but same was sold to regular scrap dealer at the same day of exchange. on enquiry both washing machine dealer and scrap declines to receipt of the valuable assets but customer find that there is contradiction in statement of washing machine dealer made to customer, stating they are not opening any washing machine of customer received as exchange but directly sales to the scrap dealer and even they returns to customers all the article and things found in washing such as cloths and even coins found in exchanged machine (if any).

You have no legal remedy as you sold the item in scrap, as a whole, including contents. Legally you cannot do anything.
