Legal Question in Technology Law in India

i asked a free question on lawguru and few lawyers answered . One of those lawyers gave his email id saying you can mail me for online advice.

I mailed him my question stating in subject coloum that ( reply only if its free legal advice) he replied stating nothing is free and replied for my question

And he is asking for compensation fees.

Do i have to pay him ?

the lawyer is supposed to state before giving reply to the email that he would charge a particular consultation fee. he further needs to state that you deposit the fee and then i would answer the question. the consultation fee cannot be demanded after the reply has been sent without taking consultation fee in advance.
