Legal Question in Construction Law in India

A meeting is scheduled to discuss redevelopment of my society. In total there are 15 members. However, three of us do not want redevelopment. We are located in Pune. Is there any law stating that the society canot go ahead in such a case?

Dear Sir / Madam,

A minimum of 3/4th majority of the members have to accord their consent for redevelopment to take place. In your case, since 12 members have opted for redevelopment there is an absolute majority and the Society can go ahead with the redevelopment proposal.

However, a Developer will insist that all the members consent to redevelopment before he steps in to avoid any future complications in the process.
