Legal Question in Consumer Law in
What is the amount of compensation that can be claimed from a Consumer Court for an Air Cooler purchase in March 2009 from Bhayander for Rs.4100/- which started giving trouble during warranty period (within 4 months of purchase) when I I was charged twice by the company for repairs on the plea that these parts are not covered under warranty. When requested for a replacement after I saw sparks coming from Cooler which would have resulted in a major fire and loss of lives of my family members, Company agreed to change only the defective part and flatly refused for Replacement of the Cooler as requested.
Please let me know if there is any ground for claiming comnpensation for mental and physical torture that we have gone through since purchase of cooler in March 2009.

You may claim the amount of new cooler, the amount you spent on repairs and the reasonable amount of compensation 5000
