Legal Question in Consumer Law in India

MLM model in India.

We are starting a new 'ads

publishing' company in delhi which

has a marketing model that

resembles MLM. We have developed a

FREE software and if someone

downloads that from our website and

installs it on his PC to display our ads

then he will get regular income. But

he CAN get extra bonus if he refers

our software to someone else.

We think this is not an illegal model

because there is no money flow in

the upward direction, rather the

revenue will be generated from the

advertisers and a part of it will be

paid to the customers such that the

company ALWAYS make profit.

Kindly advise us if this model will be

legal in India or not?

Thankyou

If you have developed the software and you claim it to be your original work, and not a COPY, you may continue with your proposal;

You may consider consulting an IPR lawyer to obtain your copyrights/trade marks to avoid any future misuse.
