I had defaulted on CitiBank Credit card and my total outstanding balance is 9800+. I got a call from advocate that the case has been filed in the court and since i was not present in the court for hearing they are proceeding with furture action. First place i did not receive any summons from court. Advocate asked me to pay 3200 for taking stay order for the case which i have already paid. Please advise does taking stay order really need 3200 indian rupees. Also advise how to settle the case as soon as possible as i am now ready to close the case as soon as possible.

It was a farce , only the goondas calls to recover the banks money from you. The best way would to settle the issue with the bank itself and not giving any money to any lawyer.
