Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Hi, I am a NRI residing in gulf. Due to job loss and recession I was jobless for 2 years. Hence defaulted on credit card payments, now I got a call from HDFC after 2 yrs stating I need to pay the outstanding amount of 125000. My card limit was 40000 thousand. The caller offered me to amicably settle and offered me 40 to 60% discount. Caller even offered to call anyone in India to convince to pay the said amount. I have read about flatulent cases happening. My question is if this is a genuine and the settlement doesnt happen amicably what are my options legally. In case bank proceeds with a legal case. Can I be arrested when I arrive at any Indian Airport?

In such case it is better to go througb a lawyer for settlement after "due documentation", otherwise there may be claim after such settlement. contact [email protected]
