Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I've a personal loan from Barclays bank in UAE, and due to personal reasons I had to quit job in UAE and take a up new job in India. I don't wish to return to UAE anytime. EMI were paid through cheques with HSBC account in UAE. 3 cheques has been dishounoured since I quit job in UAE. Can Barclays Bank in UAE initiate a Police action against me in India? How can I settle this amount without going back to UAE?

You should settle their dues through your Bank in India. They may take police / legal action and you may face trouble. avoid litigation and settle their dues at the earliest.
