For upto what least amount the loan of 8.5 lakhs can be settled down? My salary is 10,000 bucks and the entire loan was pre - approved?

You will have to issue legal notice and see how much of this Rs 8.5 lac is actual principal.Based on that and whether the loan is secured or not you can ask and GET a fair discount to the demanded Rs 8.5 Lacs
