Re: Aggrieved person in matter of defamation

The disciple's letter addressed to guru showing lowering his respect because of the alleged defamatory material can constitute cause of action for the Guru to file defamation suit/criminal complaint.

however. guru himself has to initiate proceedings in his own name by claiming that his respect has been lowered and that he has suffered loss which need to be compensated by way of damages.

If he is genuinely a spiritual Guru, he should better avoid court proceedings and forget about the entire incident.
